The Fact That RadioKorei is on WNIA Friday Nights

Yeah... Fridays at 11pm on WNIA . The first episode was last week, and even I forgot to tune in! Anywho, there's another episode today at 11pm EST, so listen in? -Red Hooded Manatee

Updated the website

So, since I was in here earlier to write that update on the Summit Mall , I felt that it was finally time to update the entire look of the site. The new theme didn't allow me to switch the font colors, so the website is now starkly white. Oh well. As a side note, you can now see that some of the old logos had transparent spots where the black lines used to be . I used to be able to hide that on the black background...not anymore! I feel as if the blog went from a modern take on a '90s website to a literal take on a 2009 website. Of course, since the Summit closed in '09, that works just fine. You'll notice that there's lots of new widgets on the side of the homepage. Many of these were in the old theme, but were hidden in a drop-down menu. Now they're here to clog up your page, but I made sure they only show up on the homepage (showing up on the blog would be so distracting, am I right?) Well, enjoy the new and improved "Red Hooded Manatee"! -RHM

Summit Mall & Buffalo News Just Gave Me My Christmas Present Early

Image
So, this popped up on my Twitter feed this morning . It seems that the Buffalo News has actually been paying attention to the escapades of Cocov and the Summit Mall, and published this little bit. Apparently Cocov wants a microbrewery in the mall. So, since I have a cup of coffee and some Italian toast in me, let's critically analyse this beautiful article that brought me some much needed Christmas cheer. But first, I'm going to credit Thomas Prohaska and his wonderful writing on this piece, and strongly encourage you to read the entire article before we dive in. Journalism is serious work, and he should be able to see that in the viewcounts. "Mall manager Cynthia Potts said Tuesday that the beer project goes along with plans for two giant sports domes, projected to open next fall . " Now, there's two important parts to me. 1) "Open Next Fall". That line is my favorite. I love that line. I would marry that line. 2) "Projected"...oh, we're i...

The Blog Ran Away

This blog was never really meant to be a personal blog. Correction: this website was never really meant to be a blog at all. The point of this website was to write updates about the Summit Mall, and vent about the amount of time it takes to get anything to happen. Somehow, it turned into a rambling bit. I've cleared out some posts that I felt didn't fit either topics of stuff I do with friends, or straight up Summit Mall stuff. I'm not going to keep trying to fix this blog every time it goes wonky. Expect it to stay the way it is now for some time. I'll still be updating, but it won't be particularly regular. -Red Hooded Manatee

I had another Summit Park Mall Dream

I was due for one, eh? Anywho, I dreamt that I was in Bon-Ton, and somebody mentioned that they opened up the middle of the mall (Food Court area). So of course I ran outside, over to the doors, and sure enough, it was open! I then spent the rest of the dream trying (and failing multiple times) to get a Google Cardboard panorama of it...even in my dreams I don't think it would last long! So that's my dream. In other news the semester's almost over, I kinda trashed this blog a bit last week trying to update it, and I really,  really don't like video rendering when I'm trying to make sizzler reels for clients. -Red Hooded Manatee
