Doubt

I'm just leaving this article here to vent. Allegedly a member of Wheatfield's development arm has about as much faith in the brewery in the Summit Mall as you'd expect from a dead mall project. I believe my favorite part is the statement that the demographic isn't there to support this. The demographic of Western New York won't support a brewery? Have you seen Lockport? In the meantime, I've driven up to the mall a few times, and there's still no excavator on site. Considering they have to move the power line, I'm wondering if their "work begins next month" quote in May was a bit too early. As always I'll keep you posted, although this blog is starting to look like the mall a bit. -RHM

Summit Mall news (and my prediction proven wrong)

The Big Thunder Mountain Brewery just got its $750k . Unfortunately I was blinded by my obsession to realize the reason Save-a-Lot left was because the Brewery is going in. In other words, the brewery and restaurant will be self contained in a building with no direct tunnel connection to the main mall. This also means that my belief that the brewery opening soon meant the mall was opening soon was completely wrong.
