I missed news back in March

I'm fallible to say the least. Channel 4 (WIVB) did a piece on the Summit Mall back in March. Although I knew most of the information in the video, it was good to see the faces (and here the voices) of the people I've contacted over the months of retrieving project updates. -Red Hooded Manatee

NISE Center (Summit Mall) site updated!

I'm in shock. The Niagara International Sports and Entertainment Center updated their website . Weirdly, they now have social media: Facebook   Twitter  and LinkedIn . What hits me is the fact that is says "This Fall". That means that the construction schedule mentioned in the last post is accurate. Another key piece is this little bit from the website: "NISE also provides the largest special events venue in Western New York with 265,000 square feet of adaptable space for trade shows, fundraisers, parties and concerts." Now, the mall is almost 3 times that size, but that equates to mall space being used. In other words  the mall might be open by the end of this year. I'm insanely excited. -Red Hooded Manatee

IT IS HAPPENING

The Buffalo News just dropped an article. The Summit dome is getting discounted power, and construction is set to begin next month. Let that set in: next. month. You're going to be seeing some updates from this blog. -Red Hooded Manatee

I was able to reach out and get some information from Cynthia Potts (the manager for the mall I'm sure I've spoken about before). She gave me a bit of new info. Since this info is stuck in print for the time being, I might as well drop the quote here: We have to move the underground primary electrical line.  Therefore, we had to make some changes and are finalizing all DWGS for a single dome this year.  We will also be pushing to complete the brewery and sports bar late this year or early into 2018. So, the plan is clearly to open at least one dome this year. To my personal excitement, the Brewery and sports bar is being pushed for com...
